Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho will not recover before the November international break, according to Brazil's national team medical staff.
At a GlanceSports – Philippe Coutinho suffered a hamstring injury in the 3-1 loss to Real Madrid on Sunday night (24/10) despite finishing the full match at Camp Nou.
Barcelona got bad news when Coutinho was confirmed by experts from Brazil that he would be out until November.
Barca previously said the time scale for the former Liverpool player's return: “depends on how the injury develops”, but the Brazilian doctor said otherwise,
According to Doctor Rodrigo Lasmar in a statement he believes:
“There is simply not enough time for a player to recover for his participation in the next two qualifying rounds for the 2022 World Cup”.
Therefore, Brazil called on Lucas Paqueta from Lyon to replace him for the games against Venezuela and Uruguay on November 13 and 17.
If Coutinho is available for Barca again after the break, he will be back against Atletico Madrid for almost a month out.
Coutinho himself will join Fabinho from Liverpool who is currently also injured after replacing Virgil Van Dijk.
He suffered a hamstring problem in the Champions League win over Midtjylland on Wednesday night.
Liverpool are awaiting injury checks on Wednesday,
But Jurgen Klopp said Fabinho's absence would not be a major blow to Brazil, as he only earned 12 caps for his country.
“I'm not sure if Tite was too worried because he never played it,
“So he probably won't sit on the bench for the next two internationals,” said Klopp.

He also told beIN SPORTS: “We have to wait for the clear scan but you know these times when someone has muscle problems,
So it's very rare for doctors to call me the next morning and say: “Take it easy, all is well, he can play again.”
“So now it's only about how long it will take. That's all, and now a week means three games,
“10 days means four games, 14 days means seven. So there you have it. Yes, it's not cool at all but that's the situation. ” closed Klopp.
