Crazy Ball – Good news for Inter ahead of their opener in the Champions League in midweek, with recent reports showing that the two players who have a reputation for tackling opposing players are well and ready to play.
Italian international defender Bastoni is even reported as fit to face Germany's representative Borussia Moenchengladbach on the first matchday of the group phase, Thursday (22/10), while Belgium international midfielder Nainggolan faces a race against time. Inter Milan are joined in Champions League Group B along with Borussia Moenchengladbach, Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk.
Both Inter players initially tested positive for Covid-19, but have now recovered and are ready to return to action. This is good news when Antonio Conte is eyeing the revival of his team after the 2-1 defeat by AC Milan.
Radja Nainggolan is actually the same as Alessandro Bastoni, already negative for Covid-19 according to Calciomercato.com, however, Inter had to quickly provide the documents needed by UEFA to include the player of Indonesian descent into the Europa League squad list.
The document required is one that proves the player's recovery and the negative swab test result recognized by UEFA. Meanwhile Roberto Gagliardini is still positive, while Ashley Young and Ionut Radu will undergo a swab test Monday (19/10), according to the report.
On the other hand, Milan Skriniar is still in isolation in Slovakia after testing positive while on international duty with his national team last week. The laws of the country do not allow a positive person to leave while still not showing a negative result.
