Franck Ribery put in a classic performance for Fiorentina but it wasn't enough, as Inter scored twice after the substitution.

At a GlanceSports – Franck Ribery played very well, but Fiorentina was stung by Inter's rally late in the game,

As Antonio Conte's side grabbed a thrilling 4-3 win to launch their Serie A campaign.

Former Bayern Munich winger Ribery scored second-half goals for Gaetano Castrovilli and Federico Chiesa,

When Fiorentina looked set to take the points at the San Siro on Saturday,

Only for Romelu Lukaku and Danilo D'Ambrosio who scored in the dying minutes.

A dramatic match saw Fiorentina take an early lead through Christian Kouame,

But Lautaro Martinez scored a magnificent equalizer in first-half stoppage time,

And Inter were in front thanks to Federico Ceccherini's own goal immediately after the break.

Ribery then started the show, first teeing up Castrovilli after a happy run down the left,

And then when his long cross through the defense latched onto Chiesa.

But with seven minutes remaining, Fiorentina sent Ribery out, and Lukaku equalized in the 87th minute before D'Ambrosio headed home at the back post to take all three points.

Inter's first competitive match since defeat in the Europa League final to Sevilla began with their chill in the third minute.

Cristiano Biraghi's cross from the left opened the home defense and Kouame capitalized from close range after Giacomo Bonaventura's unselfish play.

Ribery did it again in the 63rd minute, breaking through midfield and putting in a fine ball which Chiesa pushed past Samir Handanovic for Fiorentina's third.

Lukaku, wasting a series of chances, slotted home Achraf Hakimi's cross from the right four minutes later.
