DBasia.news – The Italian government is reported to have allowed a maximum attendance of 1,000 spectators in a Serie A match and the regulations will be reviewed on 7 October.
The Italian government has gradually relaxed key regulations due to the corona virus pandemic, one of which is in soccer competition, the authorities have agreed to attend a maximum of 1,000 spectators in the stadium to watch Serie A matches and these regulations will still be reviewed on 7 October.
Several regional authorities in Emilia-Romagna, Veneto and Lombardy have issued individual regulations, so pressure is being put on the Government and Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora to follow suit immediately.
This makes sense because the government's latest regulations regarding the coronavirus lockdown allow a maximum attendance of 1,000 people at events held outdoors, such as concerts and theater productions.
Football is no different and therefore must accept the same treatment even though currently the Italian government only applies it in Serie A matches.
Fans who come directly to the stadium do not need to worry because a social distancing rule of at least one meter will be enforced, besides that they will be required to wear a mask when they arrive and their body temperature must be checked before entering the stadium.
Furthermore, as reported by Sky Sport, it was revealed that the regulation will take effect from Saturday (19/09) to 7 October, at which time it will be reviewed based on the latest data on COVID.
Meanwhile, the Serie A competition began on Saturday (19/09) evening local time by presenting two matches, namely between Fiorentina against Torino and Hellas Verona against AS Roma. In these two matches there was still no visible presence of the audience watching directly at the stadium.
Fiorentina managed to beat the visitors to Torino by a narrow score of 1-0 at the Artemio Franchi while Roma were only able to play a goalless draw with Verona in the match which took place at the Stadio Marc Antonio Bentegodi. As a result, La Viola leads the Serie A standings this week.
